Shapes for Burner Applications
Innovac’s burner application shapes are custom-engineered refractory components used to line and protect burner throats, nozzles, and flame tunnels in high-temperature industrial equipment. These shapes are essential for maximizing fuel efficiency, preventing localized heat loss, and extending the service life of burner assemblies under continuous thermal cycling.
Our components are molded using a blend of alumina-silicate, mullite, and zirconia-stabilized fibers, offering excellent dimensional stability and resistance to chemical attack from combustion byproducts. These materials are ideal for temperatures exceeding 1650°C and are widely used in rotary kilns, tunnel kilns, boilers, and incineration units where burner reliability is paramount.
Innovac works directly with OEMs and plant engineers to develop burner shapes that match the flame profile, geometry, and airflow needs of your system. Whether you require cone inserts, burner tiles, flame tunnels, or tip rings, we offer custom tooling and batch manufacturing options with short lead times.
Unlike castables or brick assemblies, our pre-formed burner shapes reduce installation time and maintenance costs. They eliminate the risk of cracks at mortar joints and are designed to allow easy removal and replacement without disturbing surrounding refractory linings.
We also offer coatings and surface treatments to improve radiant heat reflection or reduce slag adhesion, depending on your process. Combined with CAD modeling and 3D scanning support, Innovac’s burner shapes integrate seamlessly into both new builds and retrofit projects.
Each shape is labeled with part numbers, material grade, and orientation indicators to streamline on-site installation. Documentation includes thermal conductivity curves, dimensional drawings, and recommended anchoring systems.
